JB Marks Education Trust Fund: Accountant

The JB Marks Education Trust Fund was established by the National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) in 1997. It was named after JB Marks who was a president of the African Mineworkers’ Union. The motivation behind establishing the Fund was to address the need for black educated graduates entering the mining, energy and construction sectors. The Fund thus continues to fulfill this need by providing tuition for members and/or the dependents of members of the National Union of Mineworkers.
